Frasassi caves are underground caves considered the biggest underground complex in Europa. They are located in the city of Genga. It is a magic place of more than 30 kilometres, made of eight different geological plans, rich of centuries-old stalactites and stalagmites, crystallized lakes, bays, wells, tunnels, rocks and minerals.
The Mount Conero takes place in a safeguarded area, a paradise for hikers, it is crossed by marked paths that reach the peak of their shades during the spring time, when large clearings have flourished. The routes, accessible even by mountain bike or on horseback, are feasible thanks to the road signs, geographic maps and the guides of the Park.
The park is an oasis of nature that offers the possibility of making excursions in its many paths, admiring the flora and fauna typical of this pre-Apennine territory. In particular, there are two interesting natural phenomena involving this area: the karst and the presence of sulphur springs.
Under this ancient village located near Ancona takes place a labyrinth of caves, steel not completely explored (nowadays not all the tunnels have been discovered). Walking through the streets of the city centre, you will walk above underground rooms, tombs, temples, galleries communicating with each other, carved in the sandstone and used in different time periods as a place for defence or where storing food, or even for practicing religious rituals.
